on my mind: verses.

today, i am sharing some verses that have really stood out to me recently and talking a bit about my faith. if you would like to read it, please follow the link, and if you don't, then feel free to keep scrolling.

faith is such a personal and powerful thing that is a huge part of my life. i truly believe that putting all hope in god will reap huge rewards, and no matter what, god is always there with me. i have learnt so much in the past month and have been finding true meaning in so many verses that i have made a conscious effort to write them down. sometimes only two or three words, sometimes paragraphs.
one thing that i have realised over the past month, is the fact that i will proudly tell people that i am a christian, that i believe in god, jesus and the holy spirit, but that's it. i tell people i believe, but i don't tell them why, or how i came to believe.
over the past few weeks, i have compiled pages of bible verses and notes that have really related to me. i've always been anxious and introverted and shy - i am an infj after all - and because of this, so many things are tucked away in pockets of my brain, because i'm too shy to type them or say them.
today, i really wanted to share some bible verses that strike a chord with me - the me that is introverted, worrying and sometimes panicky.

realising that you always have someone in your corner is pretty special. realising that god is in your corner is beautiful. no, your life wont be perfect, you won't get straight a's or have brilliant luck forever, but knowing that you have that rock there, whether your life is going great, or when it isn't at all, it makes it all a little bit easier. faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains. if you go to god with your whole heart, he will forgive you. he will give you rest, he will give to you everything that you need. when you ask, you will be given. when you're tired and want to give up, he will give you rest. he is our father, our dad. he looks after us, he reprimands us; if we are vulnerable or alone, he will be our shield, if we do wrong, he will teach us a lesson. he will never stop loving us and forgiving us, no matter how many times we sin, no matter how many times we fail, no matter how many times we fall. he will come, pick us up and dust off our knees.

by no means is this post declaring that i am an a* christian - i, along with every other human being, have sinned and will sin again. for every good deed you've done, there are two sins. just remember, we are all human.

i hope you enjoyed this post. have a lovely week, everyone!
